Holiday Marketing Materials for FREE

VistaPrint just changed their monthly “FREE” specials.  I LOVE them!  Look at all the marketing materials I just ordered, for “FREE” at www.TellEveryoneAboutYou.com :

250 business cards – always throw a few of these into each box that you send out – you never know when someone will give them out to friends as recommendations

140 return address labels - these are great to use for your website instead of a return address …just have your kids put them all over your shipping boxes!

1 Rubber Stamp – same with this one…you can put your website/eBay Store on it and let the kids do a ‘craft project’ on your shipping boxes

1 Pad of Sticky Notes – these aren’t for marketing, I just use them ALL over to remind to do stuff (I know many people use these for inventory tags)

25 Magnets – I always get these when they put them on promotion…perfect to put a holiday message on them with your web address on the bottom of course!  I also like putting quotes on them – again, think of something that would make someone want to KEEP it around.  Throw one into each of your outgoing packages – people are less likely to throw these away than a piece of paper.  (You can also take some with you and put them up in bathroom stalls – guerilla marketing at its best!!)

100 Postcards (actually I ordered 500 of these…they were so cheap and I needed them for some upcoming tour stops) – the Fall & Winter designs just arrived and they are fabulous!!  Easy way to get your customers coming back for more…again, think about what you can put on them that is of value to your customers so they don’t toss them.  What about…

- Holiday Shipping Deadlines

- Links to holiday decorating websites      

- A calendar for the school year or 2008

- Top 3 tips for….(fill in the blank with your specialty)

- A coupon to use in January 2008

Don’t forget…

Use both sides – always use a 100% of your marketing materials, not just the front

Include your Web address on both sides (remember, you can buy a business name domain at www.JanelleElms.com/godaddy for $8 a year and do a simple redirect to your eBay Store so you don’t have a long URL on your marketing materials AND you can get your 75% back off your final value fees)

For my 1% club – don’t forget to put your Legal Bribe on the back of the business card/postcard.  Holiday time is the perfect time to increase your newsletter list.

Keep focused – only have one marketing message per piece – meaning, don’t offer them a discount and a signup and a link to another site and…you get the idea.

Forget about the box – don’t even think outside the box, pretend there isn’t a box at all and have fun.  There are no Business Card police that will arrest you if you don’t put your name, mailing address, and phone number on the card.  Think of it as a blank piece of marketing material – the sky is truly the limit for coming up with ideas.
