Ramblings for my day in line to buy the iPhone..

Planned my attack last night.  Called the mall….they open at 8am for walkers.  Have to make sure I pack my phone, computer, sheet with my eBay User Id on it (required to list on eBay), water, power bars, etc.  Trying to figure out what to take to sit on – not sure what the mall will allow.

Couldn’t sleep all night - so excited.  Wish I could keep one myself – stupid tmobile contract.

8am – I am #5 in line – woohoo…Janelle #5!!  1^st in line…Andy has been here since 5am.  Then there is Mason who isn’t buying one, but keeping his cousin Kyle company.  Kyle is going to be a corporate lawyer.  Then there is Will…he is being paid $150ish by his friend to hold his place in line.  Will is hysterical and is keeping us entertained with his stories.

8:15 – #6 just showed up – Suzanne, she is the sweetest.  Getting a phone for herself.  Has two kids and a sister who works in the Peace Corps in Africa - cool.

9:00 – drama ensues as mall security is obviously jealous of how much fun we are having, lol, and wants to kick us outside.

9:30am – Comment from Manager Jacob (as we were asking him 4 million questions…) “unfortunately all i can say is that we are excited you guys are in line today.”

10:00 – Mall Security 0, Apple Store Management 1 (woohoo!)

10:35 – people in line count…

uVillage – 90

Bellevue – 50

Alderwood – 30

SouthCenter – 26

11:00am – Jamba Juice is brilliant – they sent someone to give us samples and handed us a card with their phone number on it.  Said to call and they would deliver!!  Why don’t the restaurants do this?

Noon – rumors rampant including a post on Craigslist from a supposed employee of Southcenter’s Apple Store with a phone in their hands for $1300 – lol, yeah right.  Some guy in NY’s line is selling his spot for $5000 (includes his chair too – lol).  Management at Apple keeps checking on us, making sure we are ok…giving us water.

12:30 – every 5th person asks, “what are you waiting in line for…?”   Hhhhmmm, sitting right next to the Apple store with a huge iPhone sign next to me….have to come up with a creative answer for that.
