Exclusive Rock Star training on eBay Fee changes
This is the first fee announcement I have been through with this many changes. Plus, the changes aren’t black/white - each one appears to affect another one. I have spent over 20 hours researching the fees, understanding the effects these will have on our businesses, and then come up with a Success packed solution on utilizing the fees/change announcements to your profitable benefit.
This first 90 minute webinar will be an overview of all of the fees - including the ones that they never announced. I will explain each of them and give you a brief overview of how they will impact an eBay business. In the coming weeks I have scheduled numerous break-out sessions for you to attend including “How to calculate your fees before/after”, “How to achieve PowerSeller status”, “Adjusting your inventory to be profitable”, “How to take advantage of the PowerSeller benefits” and more. I am bringing in experts having to do with shipping, fees, and sourcing the right products.
Alot of eBay educators are either avoiding talking about the fees (can’t fault them for that - it’s very confusing and a HUGE subject to tackle) or are just talking about it in general and how they think it effects their business. At OSI Rock Stars, we aren’t just talking - we are doing and showing and teaching and educating. My goal is that by our deadline of July, that all of you will be PowerSellers AND your DSR’s will qualify you for at least the 5% discount…but I am putting my money that almost all of the Rock Stars will be part of the 15% elite discount group after this intensive training.

How to Tell if You’re Addicted to eBay
There are a number of common personality traits that can be indicative of an addiction when taken to the extreme.
These common personality traits are:
1 -Low Tolerance for Frustration
2 -Being Anxious
3 -Grandiose Thinking
4 -Perfectionism
5 -Justification
6 -Isolation
7 -Sensitivity
8 -Impusivity
9 -
10-Dependence.
If you’re an eBay Addict you may identify with some of these situations:
1 -Low Tolerance for Frustration - You’ve learned everything about the new SYI form. You go to create a listing but, Guess What? The form looks different!! How can this be? The sound of your fist hitting the desk top is a sign that you are frustrated.
2 -Being Anxious - You feel something is about to happen. You don’t know what it is or when it’s coming, but you don’t feel good about it. Perhaps that was you - yesterday - when the new eBay fees were announced.
3 -Grandiose Thinking - You’ve done your research and see that items similar to yours are selling for $25. But that means nothing to you. You know that YOUR item (identical to the ones selling for $25) is going to sell for at least $50.
4 -Perfectionism - You will accept nothing less than 100% positive feedback with 5.0 on all 4 DSRs. You strive for the impossible and are frustrated (see #1) when your buyers don’t ‘get’ shipping fees.
5 -Justification - You do crazy things but are able to convince yourself that they’re perfectly reasonable. Of course you need to get up ten times during the night to check your Paypal, CJ and Squidoo accounts. The money might disappear if you don’t check your computer every hour on the hour!
6 -Isolation - You find that you and your computer are BFFs (Best Friends Forever). Your family members stay away from you because they fear you may try to sell them on eBay. Family pets flee in the opposite direction when they see you heading for the computer. It’s lonely - just you and the glaring light of the monitor.
7 -Sensitivity - Since you and your computer are now BFFs (see #6) you’re hypnotized by the low droning sound of the hard drive. Normal sounds, like ‘You’ve Got Mail’ make you jump. Your sensitivity is wide ranging - you feel unloved if your item doesn’t sell.
8 -Impulsivity - You search only for items that are sold with a BIN and you purchase the first one that catches your eye.
9 -
10 -Dependence - When your computer crashes, the first words out of your mouth are: ‘My Life is Over.’ Unable to check on your eBay listings, your world spins out of control. The adrenaline rush of the bidding war is gone. You must wean yourself from your technology dependence cold-turkey.
If you experience any of these symptoms, don’t feel alone. You can visit with others who may identify with you. Your first stop should be the OSI Rock Star forums where you will receive very friendly help and sage advice.

Eight Habits of Highly Effective eBayers
Just received this great email from one of our amazing Rock Stars, Melissa of www.InfantTraveler.com A PowerSeller, beautiful new eBay Store design (you have to check it out!), an eBay Education Specialist who is teaching her first class today!!, and a stay at home Mom who homeschools her kids. If she doesn’t know how to be effective, not sure who does – lol. (hey Melissa, fabulous use of Custom Pages on your Diaper Bag Essentials page! Very nice job.)
Eight Habits of Highly Effective eBayers
Research—Some folks are good gamblers and just plain lucky. When it comes to entrepreneurs on eBay, what appears as luck, may actually be a calculated risk based on research. Most everyone could have told you that the Wii would be a great seller at Christmas, but how many would have insight into the demand versus supply of these wildly popular games. Smart eBay sellers try to create their own luck by researching information such as number of sellers in the marketplace, how saturated the market overall is, seasonal demand for the item, etc.
Communicate—Your Mom may be impressed that you have a five thousand square foot showroom in another state, but what do buyers on eBay want to know? Savvy eBay sellers are using trust as part of their sales pitch. Sellers who include all the pertinent information in their listings, along with testimonials, and high feedback ratings persuade the buyers. Sellers who take the time to answer buyer emails also instill confidence.

Customer Service – You can try every trick in the book, but without Customer Service you won’t be able to hang on to those customers (& you’ll be dinged with eBay’s most recent DSR changes).
