Do you know what Tecktonik is?  Nope – it’s not the test, measurement and monitoring systems company.  It’s the hottest new dance craze coming out of Europe and just now hitting the US markets. 

“Great Janelle, but why do I need to know about a dance craze?”

Ooohhh, good question…because it’s super hot, it has multiple products in its niche AND you can capture multiple markets around the world (although it originated in Paris over 8 years ago, it is just now hitting the US.  And, no one has listed anything on the eBay US site yet with this super HOT keyword).

First – remember my Janelleism, “You don’t have to know anything about what you are selling – you only need to know how to sell it!”  This is true for this too – BUT, with all ‘fads’ you’ll definitely want to brush up on what it is and the lingo/keywords associated with it.  Remember, you don’t have to like it, just the people with money do.

Hot items include music, clothing (including shoes), makeup, jewelry (and other accessories) and even energy drinks.  Not to mention the tons of profitable keywords AND the great marketing opportunities – I love the ‘weight loss idea’ one.  On eBay France, over $266,000 in merchandise has been sold in the last 3 months, with a healthy sell-through rate of 45%.

What an informational and motivational class! Janelle and Cindy take us all from the first of eBay and their first experiences teaching as ESP’s up to today and the ‘new kids on the block’ like myself just starting out.
They share revenue opportunities in ‘back of the room’ sales. What type items to tie in to the classes, where and how to get them. A great tip is using vendor give aways. As Janelle puts it, ‘the larger vendors have the budget for give aways and marketing’. Love it!
Janelle and Cindy also go through affiliate marketing to sell other peoples’ products to enhance your revenues. Some great tips here…I ran out of page to write on when taking these notes!
I enjoyed listening to the ideas Janelle and Cindy had for the three ESP’s to help them set up their advertising, improve their Instructor bio pages, PR packets to hand out…the list goes on and on. Very informational. I’ve gotten so many ideas just listening to this one class! Janelle mentioned everyone would be working for awhile after the class with all the info contained..exactly where I’m headed now!
