…resumes next Wednesday at 3pm pst. Join us on August 8th to hear PowerSeller Stephanie Inge share her success secrets.
Make sure you are on the Success Newsletter list (if not, sign up on the right over there…) to get the call-in details.

I, like Janelle, was just today stopped dead in my tracks and reminded that we need to be grateful for all God has given us. I was touched very deeply today by a student whom I believe was brought to me, not for me to teach eBay to, but for me to learn one of life’s lessons.
I am going to ask something really huge and really nice of each and every one of you. I am asking you to part with something not necessarily necessary this week and do a favor for someone instead.
I just, not twenty minutes ago, finished teaching a wonderful gentleman how to “eBay”.
This man, who is two years younger than my wonderful husband, has had MS for 19 very long years.
I was so incredibly touched by his determination. He walks very slowly and very unsteadily with the help of a forearm crutch.
He has a job and wanted to learn eBay to supplement his income. He is adamant to continue to EARN a living.
He relayed a story to me of an incident when, last Valentine’s Day, he went to get his mail. We live in a rural area where you have to walk down your driveway to get your mail. We had had a tremendous snowstorm, and he said that he should have known better, but went to get the mail anyway.
He fell in his driveway on the way to the mailbox. The maillady came along, delivered his mail, and with him laying there, continued on her route! Never stopped to see if he needed help!
He managed to crawl to his car where he stayed out of the weather till his daughter came by that night and found him. How very sad!
I was so very touched by him that as soon as he left, I signed up with MissionFish, eBay’s charity program, and I am now going to donate a percentage of all of my sales to the MS Foundation.
My reason for this newsletter is twofold. I ask that each of you consider donating to a charity, no matter how little or how much, be it through your auctions or some other means.
I also ask that you take a look at his auction. We only had time to list one item before he had to go home “to wrap himself in ice” because the pain of sitting here was getting to be to much. The item number is 120147935493. It is an old hobnail perfume bottle. It isn’t anything fancy and chances are, you have no need for a vintage perfume bottle, but to see bids on his first item would mean so much to him!
Perhaps you could even put him on your favorite seller’s list…
Let’s “pay it forward” for this wonderful guy!
Thanks so very much for your help!
Oh, one more thing - please, if you would, forward this letter to your friends. Please. The world would be so much a better place if we were all more charitable!
Thanks again!

PS - I know this doesn’t directly relate to be a “Power Seller” but it does relate to being a “Power Human Being”…Hope that counts!

You guys are all angels in disguise! I checked Mr. C’s auction this morning, and started crying, immediately, uncontrollably. My husband kept asking what was wrong, but nothing could have ever been so right. Thank you, thank you - for being one of the “good people” still out there! You have my eternal gratitude.

Jennifer; thanks for the reminder. I try to make a concerted effort in my life to help others, and for the most part, I think I am successful. I know I have succeeded when I get that warm feeling. There is nothing like it…doing for others is the best thing in the world.
I have loaned money to a dozen third-world entrepreneurs through www.kiva.org and love reading their success stories and seeing first hand how a few dollars and a lot of faith can change lives.
There is most assuredly no feeling like it in the world. And this man most certainly is deserving of a break. This community that I have found myself a part of over the past few years is exemplary and I am very proud to be a part of it! And moreso, I am glad to be able to bring him into it. I think he will find support and care he’s not had too much of otherwise! You guys are all extraordinary! If ever any of you are in Upstate NY, I would absolutely LOVE to meet you. I am sincere when I say that. I would be happy to take you to meet my student/new friend as well! Blessings to you all~ Jennifer
