I’m coming! No tips~ sorry! My first trip to Boston.
Hi Jenny,
I am thrilled that you are coming to eBay Live. Track me down and say hi!
blessings,
Janelle
I will be there, too. Looking forward to meeting you. Are you going to be at any of the ES functions on Wednesday?
No tips from me either. Any I would have mentioned, you already took care of. (Shoes, iPod, fun)
Have Fun!
Mike
Hi Mike,
I am going to try…Michael Kaiser (a fabulous eBay U instructor) will hopefully be coming with me. Will be great to meet you…and Winston says hi!
Safe travels,
Janelle
I am really looking forward to Ebay LIVE 2007. Last year in Vega$ was my first, and I loved it!
Boston tips: Boston is a great city: it is small and very easy to get around using public transportation.
My 3 “Must do’s” in Boston are:
Ernesto’s pizza in the North End
www.ernestosnorthend.com
69 Salem St
Boston, MA 02113
(617) 523-1373
- get a slice of chicken and bacon pizza - trust me, it is fantastic, although I admit it didn’t sound good to me either! No ambiance, this place is in the basement but a slice of probably the best pizza you have had and a soda is less than $5 and more than enough for lunch!
and right around the corner is a treat for foodies:
Salumeria Italiana
151 Richmond Street
Boston, MA 02109
1-800-400-5916
www.salumeriaitaliana.com
This is a great Italian market. They have their very own exclusive balsamic vinegar from Italy called Rubio … at $35.00 a bottle. This is a huge bargain. They will gladly give you a sample! This particular balsamic vinegar is so good you can put it on fresh strawberries (yum) or even vanilla bean ice cream (heaven). Of course, it is fabulous on all the standards like cheeses, vegetables and salads. Pick up a bottle or two while you’re there…you won’t regret it.
and my 3rd & final (but certainly not last) MUST-DO, is to stop at the Holocaust Memorial, on my walk back from the North End to my hotel.
Holocaust Memorial Park
44 Union Street
Boston, MA 02108
www.nehm.org
I have seen several memorials & museums dedicated to the Holocaust (in LA, DC, Berlin, Amsterdam) but this one is the most moving. It is outside and is free. It is like a sculpture that you walk through. Please allow yourself the time (45 mins, at least) to absorb it’s meaning, as everything is very well thought out. As you are experiencing it, you will think about the history and realize the significance of each part. Okay, I am done ….have a great Ebay LIVE 2007!
We’re already on our way to eBay DevCon…”L@@K”ing forward to seeing y’all @ eBay Live~{{;>}~!!! eBest Regards,

I’m leaving bright and early tomorrow! Yippee!!! Can’t wait, my first eBay Live was last year in Vegas, so I’ve learned to plan , get to classes early, have a 2nd choice, and, memorize the convention map, for easy getaway routes and remote bathrooms (no lines!)
My sister and I are doing the Freedom Trail on Wed, I’ll tell you all about it.
Thanks so much for all the great tips.
See you all there! Say hello!

Woooohoooo! Packed (well almost) and excited to fly out tomorrow morning. Staying with friends in Cambridge and am following their tip, “Do not rent a car”
Looks like the red line and the silver line on the “T” subway system will be my friend.
All my vacation settings are set and I’m jazzed for the some time away. Hope to see some of you there! And Janelle…I will search you out
Safe travels, everyone!

Hi Janelle,
I’m coming to eBay Live! Wednesday, staying thru Monday, so I can see some of the sights - my first time to Boston. Thanks, Jim, for the “Must Do” List! I’ve rented an apartment in the North End (on Salem St.), so I am really looking forward to walking around and DEFINITELY getting a slice of pizza!
