The Amazon 101 CDs have come and are now gone.  LOL – the Post Office just shakes their heads and laughs when they see me coming.  They so love the days when we get our orders in.  There are more in the car too!

You guys are so good about taking care of each others – it is truly amazing to watch.  We just received word of another PowerSeller who needs your help.  Marsha G. sells on eBay and just recently lost both of her grandchildren to a tragic accident.  I cannot even imagine what this family is going through right now.  She posted on the PowerSeller board for prayers.  Well the amazing eBayer Judi of Not2Bright did one step more…she started raising funds for the children’s burial so that they family won’t have to think about one more thing during this time.  Ever since I met Judi a few years ago at eBay Live she has always been more like an angel than a real human being – so very kind and thoughtful.  Here is the post about the donations as well as a place you can donate through PayPal for this money.  I send prayers out to this family, prayers out to all of the people who are questioning the family/police decisions – there but for the Grace of God go I, and I send prayers out to Judi who so rocks.  Check out the information and donate if you can.

eBay Fee Change – I am very worried

Wow – we just completed the almost 3 hours of training on the new eBay Fee & Site Changes.  LOTS of information, but a great opportunity to update their businesses for many of our sellers with new listing types, description information, and holiday messaging!

I have to tell you honestly that I am very worried.  You guys are SO in the know, that of course you realize that eBay just made a huge announcement.  But there are SO many sellers out there that have no idea that eBay is changing some major areas of the site.  I was just talking to a friend of mine who sells cars on eBay.  He didn’t know that they had made MAJOR fee changes to his category, much less that there had been any changes at all.  Like did you know…

·        There are certain words that you are currently using in your listings that could get your listings stopped by eBay – you certainly don’t want that happening during holiday season.

·        There is a way to DOUBLE your PowerSeller discounts (up to 40% off your FVF)?

·        There are now required boxes that have to be marked/filled out if you are listing on eBay?

·        There is now a category where you can list for 5 cents and a category where you can list for free?

Oh, there’s a bunch more surprises, but again – I am worried that people feel that they can just let these changes happen behind the scenes and not do any adjustments to their businesses.  Not this time.  This time if you don’t make the required changes you could potentially have your ability to list stopped – eeks!

·        31 and 23 – hours and minutes I spent on eBay webinars, the town hall, discussion boards, websites, on the phone with eBay employees getting this class ready so you wouldn’t have to do that

·        3 – number of keyboards I went through writing up the Presentation – no joke

·        34 – pages of notes I took in order to write up that presentation

·        16 – number of cans of Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper that were consumed

·        4 (at least) – the number of hours I spent bugging Cindy & Dany with questions

Ok, so I have learned a few things this week:

• I have a new respect for women’s water polo - I have no doubt that their picture is next to the word ‘endless endurance’ in the dictionary - how do they do that?
• Our Rock Stars continue to amaze and inspire me as well as those around them.  Check out & bid on the incredible ‘eBay Live charity auction‘ that was put together by one of our Rock Stars to raise money for Janieruth’s recovery.  All of your positive encouragement and support for each other is incredible.  More details below. (shoot, I was just outbid…)
• Tivo is one of the most amazing inventions in the last 100 years - as entrepreneurs one of the most important skills we need to have is being able to move time - and have that flexibility to do so.  Tivo is one of those many tools I keep in my life to do just that.  Rock Stars is another one - so is iGoogle. And podcasts from iTunes.  My information, my way, on my timeline
• Dara Torres, who at the age of 41 not only competed in the Olympics, but was a medal winner, is my new hero.
• John Jantsch rocks - http://www.ducttapemarketing.com/blog/ - I have always been a HUGE fan of this incredible online marketing genius for his ‘doable’ approach to successful businesses.  Lately he has been stepping up his game even more.  His book Duct Tape Marketing is still my most used business book ever.  (Update: oooh, just talked to John and we have an exciting announcement coming up - watch for details coming soon)
• I am glad that there is almost ZERO crime going on in Clayton, CA that the law enforcements and mayor fill their time up by destroying the entrepreneurial dreams of our children - http://www.jbs.org/index.php/jbs-news-feed/2610-economics-101-the-hard-way
• After doing my marathon research for our AMAZING upcoming class Monday on the new eBay Fee Changes I have put together some great info for lowering your fees, increasing your business and ramping up your holiday sales - so excited.

eBay Fee Change Class Announcement - I cannot believe the interest in this class - wow!

I know some of you don’t bother with learning about ‘one more change’ eBay is making.  However, these new changes require almost all of you to update your listing with pertinent information.  If you do not do so in the time allotted your listings will either be pulled or not renewed.  Please make sure you are familiar with the required new changes so that there is not a pause in your business activities, especially with the holidays fast approaching. (these changes were not just strictly fee adjustments).
